Fundraisers and Music

Leukemia Ball
Nothing like the last hours of a pleasant Sunday afternoon; laundry, editing and touching up photos, listening to music etc can at time feel like the most productive activities of my week. I sift through everything I've been through, shot, trashed etc and try to have it make sense.

Last night was the Leukemia Ball at the Washington, DC Convention Center. What an amazing event management operation and fundraiser. Everything appeared to go smoothly from my camera's perspective and the attendees managed to raise over three million dollars! A full photo essay should hit the 'net via KstMagazine at some point this week. It's been a while since I shot an event and it was good to mix and mingle again.

Friday night was another stop at U Street Music Hall for The Colourist, Night Terrors of 1927, and The Wind and the Wave. All three very talented, different yet similar, acts from different parts of the country. UHall is a bitch to shoot in but evidence of my attendance should be available on www.brightestyoungthings.com Monday or Tuesday.
